One snow day means one thing - playing in the snow! These activities are a chance to reflect on the fun you've had and set yourself challenges linked to the snow.
If there is more than one snow day, use these snowy tasks to inspire your learning until you are able to come back to school.
Remote Learning
The tasks below are units of learning for a longer period of time away from school - up to ten days.
Children may be absent from school because the school has closed due to an unforeseen incident such as extreme weather conditions or heating or water issues.
Class teachers are best placed to support children to catch up on anything they have missed, once they return. The lessons provided for children at home in the meantime will support learning more broadly, as they incorporate life-long learning skills such as telling the time as well as reinforcing topics, themes and ideas taught as part of the Inspire Curriculum.
The basics can continue to be kept ticking over by using the online subscriptions we currently offer, including Bug Club and timestables.co.uk. We of course recommend more highly than anything that children read as much as they are able while absent from school.
Otherwise, please follow the daily lessons planned for your child(ren)’s Year Group(s), by clicking the relevant links each day. You can contact teachers via the school office on parents@larkriseprimary.org and we will do our best to support you with any aspect of Remote Learning that we can.
